Childhood Respiratory Viral Disease – Video with Vanessa Lachey and Dr. Michael Forbes

Dr. Norma Goodwin, Founder and President of Health Power for Minorities, interviews Actress and TV Personality Vanessa Lachey and Dr. Michael Forbes of Akron Children’s Hospital to discuss Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), a contagious and common viral disease that is contacted by most infants in the U.S. during their first year of life.

Dr. Forbes describes the condition and explains why premature babies are at greater risk. Vanessa, who was a co-host of the 2007 “Miss Universe Pageant”, whose son experienced RSV, gives parents advice on how to protect their children from RSV.
