Aerobic Exercise

Aerobic Exercise plays a key role in weight control by actively burning off calories, and making physical fitness possible. The two parts of the term aerobic, which comes from Latin, mean:

AERO = Air = Oxygen and

BIC    = Bio = Life

Physical activities that require increased oxygen intake are aerobic. Key benefits of aerobic exercise include the following:

  • stronger heart
  • stronger lungs
  • stronger body
