Genetic Screening

Genetic Screening is a process used to find out if a couple is at increased risk of having a baby that has a hereditary disorder. Procedures used in genetic screening include examination of blood and tissue samples from the potential parents, as well as amniocentesis. Genetic screening is usually done before genetic counseling.
