Quantitative research

Quantitative research concentrates on the findings from numbers as evidence of opinions and practices. Questionnaires are frequently used in quantitative research. Although well-designed quantitative research is statistically accurate, it may not provide adequate information on the concepts and attitudes which contribute to the opinions and actions of participants. In some instances, if sufficient resources are available, the combination of qualitative and quantitative research is most beneficial.
