Dr. Norma Goodwin, President of Health Power For Minorities, interviews Dr. Carla Harwell, member of ‘Movement Is Life’ Executive Steering Committee, and Associate Professor of Medicine at Case Western Reserve School of Medicine, about health disparities and joint health.

Dr. Harwell discusses studies that show that African American and Hispanic women are more likely to receive a lower quality of health care, and develop severe joint pain and associated complications such as obesity, heart disease and diabetes. She also discusses the goal of ‘Movement Is Life’, and how its activities can improve joint health. She also provides online resources.
